West side story

hey guys

For those of you who would like to, or don't already know, the Dandenong theatre company is putting on the musical 'West side story' in August. This is like the story of Romeo and Juliet converted, and i thought it would be really cool to at least audition. Auditions are being held this month, and here are the details..

* Dance auditions will be held on Sunday May 28th:
o 1:00pm-2:00pm, basic movement / dance.
o 2:00pm-3:30pm, intermediate dance.
o 3:30pm-5:00pm, advanced dance.
All auditionees should attend one of these sessions.

* Singing / Acting auditions will be held on Sunday 28th, Tues 30th and Wed 31st May, between 6pm and 11pm.
* Callbacks, if required, will be held on Sunday June 4th in the evening.

All sessions will be held at Greenslopes Primary School (Brunet Street Dandenong North), except Tues 30th which will be at the Dandenong Community Arts Centre, corner of Walker and Robinson Streets Dandenong.

Audition Requirements:
* Please wear appropriate gear to the dance audition - dance shoes or runners and comfortable clothes (no jeans!)
* Please prepare 2 songs in contrasting styles for your singing audition. Bring sheet music in the correct key - no backing tapes!
* There is no need to prepare a monologue. You may be asked to read from a script which will be provided.
