Laver's Hill Tomorrow

Ok so we're off on our adventure tomorrow, and it's probably as good a time as any to tell you stuff you may need to know.

Day 1:
Leaving: 3pm from in front of the school, so be there before that.
Journey: will take about 4 hours I think, and will most likely follow the great Ocean Rd from Geelong up the coast. Highlights may include the West Gate Bridge, Kardinia Park (home of Geelong FC for those that care), purty beaches and coastal views, and such thriving townships as Torquay, Anglesea, Lorne, Wye River, Kennett River, Apollo Bay, and finally Laver's Hill.
Lunch: should be eaten before we leave. If you haven't had lunch by 3pm there's something wrong with you anyway.
Dinner: we will get at one of the above townships as we go. Probably Apollo Bay. There's no Maccas or KFC, but there's the usual beach town stuff like pizza, fish and chips, etc.

Day 2:
What are we doing? We're booked in at the Otway Fly at 10.00am, after that we have no specific plans. Weather doesn't look too flash for the beach, so I thought maybe we could go into Warnambool. The only thing that's really there is this: http://www.flagstaffhill.com/quicksite/?id=flagstaffhill which is kind of like Sovereign Hill, but with boats. I dunno if you're interested in that, so feel free to comment your opinion on whether we should bother or not, but we have tickets for it anyway because they came in a package with this: http://www.flagstaffhill.com/quicksite/?id=shipwrecked, which we are seeing at 9.50pm. Dunno if it's any good or not but it's the story of the shipwreck of the Loch Ard so I figured why not.
What's to eat? Breakfast we'll have before we go the Otway Fly. As in Naracoorte I will provide basic stuff like bread, cornflakes, milk and orange juice but if you want something else you will need to bring it (we will stop at a supermarket somewhere on the way). Lunch we can have when we get back to the lodge, again using stuff we will have bought on the drive up from Melbourne. We'll buy dinner in Warnambool. Oh and Pat and Kirby I believe are making a cake for Day 3.

Day 3:
What are we doing? Again, plans are pretty loose during the day, we will cruise the Great Ocean Rd a bit, look at the twelve apostles and Loch Ard gorge etc. Weather permitting, I brought some of the costumes so we can do some hanging-rock style photos at the gorge or wherever. If it's really nice weather there is always the beach at Port Campbell too. By 6.30pm we need to be back at Loch Ard Gorge to collect tickets and see the play, which starts at 7pm. Oh and it's Pat's birthday, so by tradition he has to go skinny dipping in the gorge after the play. (You all know I'm joking right? Goooooood...)
What's to eat? Breakfast we make for ourselves again, lunch and dinner we'll see how we feel. If people are happy to keep making their own at the lodge, then all good, if not I'm sure we can pick up takeaway at Port Campbell. And of course there's Pat's and Kirby's cake, for those brave enough...

Day 4:
What are we doing? Packing up and going home. Have to be out of the lodge by about 10, but aside from that as far as I know there's no rush. If anyone needs to be back by a certain time it would be wise to let me know, cos Pat's forecast says 33 so I figure this is the time to wander slowly back to Melbourne, stopping for swimming and icecream at assorted beaches along the way. If anyone is in a rush though, it is possible to cut inland and be back by about 2pm SO MAKE SURE YOU LET ME KNOW. Otherwise it's likely to be closer to 6pm.
What's to eat? Breakfast at the lodge as usual, lunch bought on the way home. Dinner is yer Mum's problem.

What do you NEED to bring?
Pillow
Sleeping bag
Towels (2)
WARM clothes (anyone complaining of being cold because they've ignored this will be LAUGHED AT)
Proper shoes (Debbie!!!)
Sunscreen

As well as these things, you may also what to use your common sense and bring some other less need-full stuff, like swimming gear, non-warm clothes, less proper shoes, etc.

Any further questions?
Post em in comments. Before 1pm tomorrow though, unless you aren't interested in an answer...

LoL...weirdo! The weather forecast for Tuesday has changed. It will be 25C - fine and sunny. Also, tomorrow will be 32C with showers coming in in the afternoon. The south-west is predicted to get around 15 mm of rain tomorrow. I will provide the Warrnambool forecast if Blogger allows me to update.
