Naracoorte was great. Everyone had a good time, presumably. I'll tell you about the trip in 'day' form, then some highlights and such.
DAY ONE: Off to Naracoorte
We left school at approximately 1 pm. Stacey, Sunny, Flynn and I were in Miss McArthur's car. Ashlee, Luke and Emily were in Mr Caughey's car (but on the way back to Noble Park Kirby joined). Renee, Preety and Kirby were in Mrs Caughey's car. The trip took approximately 8 hours, including stops in Bacchus-Marsh, where we had lunch at Mc Donald's, Beaufort, where the majority of us bought disposable-cameras, and Horsham, where we had dinner at KFC, just to please Kirby. We also stopped at the S.A.-Vic border to take photos. This is where Luke nearly hurt himself by jumping out of Mr Caughey's car while it was still moving!!! After taking the photo's, which took 10 minutes, we left for Naracoorte, which took only about 30 minutes. We got to Naracoorte at about 9 pm ASST, that would be 9.30 pm back in Victoria. The drive was long, but we saw many things, like the Giant Koala. When we arrived at the Naracoorte Holiday Park, we settled into our cabins. Mr Caughey read out the rules and said that each cabin had to perform a short play about forbidden love, revenge and tragedy, the next day. After all this, some people were outside and playing in the play ground...gotta love the swings! Everyone were forced to stay into their own cabin at 12 am. In the boys' cabin, we couldn't get to sleep as Luke wouldn't keep his mouth shut, speaking in the Maori accent. Eventually, Mr Caughey and I shut him up by threatening him. Sunny was either sleeping or talking on the phone.
DAY TWO: The Caves and the Performance
We awoke to a cold morning, but then a fine day. We were at the Naracoorte Caves National Park at about 10.30 am. Every student went in the caves except for Mrs Caughey, Miss McArthur and her son, Flynn. Instead, they went to the winery. Of course, some of us were jealous, eg Kirby, but we didn't mind as we got to explore in the Caves. In the Caves there were many challenges for us to perform. Mr Caughey, Kirby, Ashlee, Renee, Emily and I performed all of them. The others performed some too. You'll see how some of the challenges looked like in the photos during our next RBT meeting. After the caves, we drove back to the Holiday Park and rested. During that time, Flynn gave Luke a flower to give to Kirby, but couldn't admit to Kirby that it was his. Later, when Kirby, Luke, Ashlee, Emily, Flynn and I were outside, Kirby and Flynn got into a little quarrel; Flynn repeatedly telling Kirby that she's weird (which is clearly true...LoL jokes..maybe) and Kirby repeatedly asking, "But why?". After their little quarrel, we all ventured out to the Struan House to see the Romeo and Juliet performance. The performance was not bad, but we had to move around quite a bit. The Friar looked a bit like Gandalf from LOTR. When we got back, Mr Caughey, Luke, Sunny and I separated ourselves from the group to talk about what we were going to do for the performance, and started the BBQ. We then had to move to another BBQ as the one we started with was not working. While cooking the snags on the barbie, Emily, Kirby and Ashlee came by. Emily was hungry so she snatched the tongs off Mr Caughey, or Sunny, and started to cook the snags. We then had dinner. After dinner and watching The Biggest Loser and Big Brother, we performed our plays. Flynn was the judge. After the performances, the majority of the group sat down by the outdoor table and talked. During this time, Ashlee, Kirby, Emily and Sunny turned Emo, as a joke. After all this emo business, we watched Hide and Seek, then went to bed.
