I'm on a conference tomorrow and won't be at school during regular hours, so here's some stuff you may need to know. Answers to FAQ, if you'd prefer...
*There are 10 kids coming: Sam, Stacey, Renee, Patrick, Kirsten, Luke, Adele, Sarah, Kat, Natally (Well close. Hi Deb!)
*We're leaving from in front of the school at 6.30pm. As with Corpse Bride, if you aint there at 6.30 you risk us leaving without you. (Unless you're Nat, or Redman...) We won't be calling you up to check where you are, but we might wait if YOU call US to tell us you're running A LITTLE BIT late.
*Drivers will be me, Mrs.C, and Redman, or his wife if he's too tired after camp. Spots in cars are, as always, something you need to sort out yourselves, I will drive whoever gets into my car. If you're going to go with the time-honored "shotgun" system though, Stacey Renee and Sam have already called 3 spots in my car, on the way there at least. (Or maybe not. Thanks to the year 11s on behalf of the year 10s...)
*We will stop for food on the way there (usually Macdonalds, although I'm open to any practical alternatives other than Hungry Jacks). (Or then again, maybe we could have Hungry Jacks after all). I will insist that you get takeaway, and you will all ignore me and order sit-down. It's tradition. (Told you so). Don't forget that the longer we take to get there, the further away we park and the more walking you have to do. (Told you so again).
*Beanbags, cushions etc are a good idea but nothing that will block the view of others (you can bring folding chairs but they will make you sit up the back (Lies!). Since Mrs.C is coming, there won't be a spare this time (More Lies). Aerogard is a good idea (I left it in the car), and maybe a blanket, although it's gonna be much warmer than for corpse bride. Also you can bring snacks. Try to bring quiet snacks though.
*No you can't have alcohol. (I know you read this PATRICK...)
*Yes I know they sell alcohol there. You still can't have any. (...so then WHY...)
*No Redman won't buy you any. (...did you KEEP...)
*Neither will our wives. Stop asking. (...ASKING?!!!)
*Yes it's real Shakespeare, which means that funny talking. It will be hard to follow what's going on and you will need to concentrate. You will NOT be texting or listening to music .... Luke and Patrick... because that will not only make it difficult to concentrate, it will also annoy the people around you.
*Including me.
*And Mrs.C - Who can be MUCH scarier than me
(remember Telstra Dome!)
*There may be an interval. Probably will be, in fact. But I don't know for sure. (There was).
*Play starts at 8.30 and finishes at 11.10, so we should be home by around midnight, but any stops for food on the way back will be takeaway only. Bring a mobile to contact parents (Luke!!!) if we are going to be late home (or early) (It was late. Although, using Sir Toby's logic, since we got back AFTER midnight, it was actually early on Saturday, not late on Friday.)
So there you go. Should be virtually no need to even speak to me except to say "Thank You, goodbye" as I drop you off at home. (or, in Kirsten's case, "I'm going to go and throw up now". But it's ok, she has a way with words, so I could feel the love)
