Last night was the best fun ive had in a while.
I was a little hyped up on coke (The drink, not the drug. Well at least not the illegal drug) actually I was going to put a useless fact in about coke. That means that im still hyped up on coke. maybe its the fact that ive had numerous cokes over the past 2 days. It also shows that I like coke when I look back over this blog and see that I've written a whole paragraph about coke.
Ok. Back on track. Im going to try and write about all the stuff that happened last night. I dont think ill remember all of it because ive got the memory of a goldfish.
To begin with we all arrived at school and got in Mr and Mrs Caughey's cars. We drove to where we were southbank...well a carpark and then we walked to southbank. We went into the food court and everyone bought...hardly anything really. I got a coke and ice-cream. Luke got a coke and ice-cream too. Patrick got some iced tea, a 1/4 of a pizza, an ice-cream and another drink i think. I dont know if Emily got anything. Actually, maybe she got an ice-cream too. I can't remember.
After we ate and Kat and Nat saw another guy from TRIPOD. Then we went to the arts centre. We went into The Black Box and found seats for all of us in the first two rows. We talked for a while. There were some problems with seating. Then the show began.
As we walked in there was a program. I got one so ill put up what it says about each little play.
Ghost Gum- A heartfelt campfire conversation between a father and son quickly turns to unresolved differences as the mood darkens with the evening. It is then the recently lopped Ghost Gum decides to tell its tale.
Carp Are Smart Fish- It's nearly BOOM time. When two brothers discover a carp reciting the book of revalation it seems the apocalypse is approaching. (Personally i loved this one. Very funny)
Take Me For a Ride- Australia, woman, man, tram, bag, memories, Tel-Aviv, bombs cafes, enemy, war, Iraq, missiles, gas masks, sealed rooms, CNN, chocolate, sirens, family, Luna Park, ride, tram, Australia, woman, man, bag...
Four-Jessica wonders if a one night 'thing' could be love? A nocturne in four parts. (This one won peoples choice and the judges choice. Oh as well as Patrick and Lukes love for that girl)
In View Of- Surf, sand, sun and a visit from your older brother, Danny and Rick are about to get a new perspective on what really matters.
Sad Bird Boy and Scalpal Fingered Girl- The tragic story or Sad Bird Boy and the only girl he ever loved, Scalpal Fingered Girl. A fairy tale of modern alienation. The story of two freaks who find each other too late.
Over Audrey- Jackie is packing up and moving out amidst a mess of broken bottles, bare insults, barbed wit and the not so small matter of her terrier-like mother-in-law Audrey.
His Tattooed Fist- A man and woman discuss a violent act that has just been commited. A man and a woman discuss a violent act that is about to be commited. A man and a woman fantasize about a violent act that will never be committed. There is blood. On the tea towel. on her clothes. On the ground. A lot of.
It's Classified- Todd is an ordinary guy. He was having an ordinary day. Now he's about to be interrogated by a shadowy intelligence agency so secret they even print their business cards in invisible ink. National security has never been so laughable.
A Poultry Affair- An absurd, tragic and uplifting tale of a gormless farm boy, his curmudgeonly family and his truest friend in the world, a rubber chicken named Jeffery. (Very funny also. It got my vote at the end)
We took a photo with someone who is/was on Neighbours. Who was in 'His Tattooed Fist'. Then left. Outside we took a photo of all of us kids in front of the Yarra River. Then we walked to the carpark, got in the car and drove to the Macca's next to Southland. We got some food, ate it, and went home.
Im going to say this on behalf of everyone that went. Thank you Mr and Mrs Caughey for a great night. Thanks for driving and paying and agreeing to stop off at Maccas. :-)

You're welcome.
Personally I voted for Ghost Gum, but I also really liked A Poultry Affair, which was possibly the silliest play I've seen yet (and there was one last week about urinal cakes, so that's saying something).
I liked Sad Bird Boy and the Scalpel-fingered girl, too, just because it was so different and original. It reminded me of some of those weird flash animations you can find on the net.
Oh and you left out our visit to the Archibald prize. I voted for number 34. I think it's cool the way the public are allowed to have their say in things like these.
Oh and just for interest, the plays that made the final were:
Week 1:
(we didn't see these)
Cross Purposes
Xylophone
A Black Cat Kind of Day
Week 2:
Hamlet (the crazy one)
The Example (the bomb on the train)
Trough (the urinal cakes)
Week 3:
4 (Luke's girl)
Sad Bird Boy & Scalpel Fingered Girl (the puppets)
Over Audrey (the old woman locked in the wine cellar)
There's also one wildcard that hasn't been announced yet, but we didn't see the wildcards, so who cares.

Stacie, you gotta look up "persecution complex" in the dictionary.
We like you!
Really!!!!
It really does send a shiver down my spine to read my name spelt like that. It's so..I dunno..trashy.
I mean, if you're gonna name you're kid Stacey, you gotta do it properly.
